Between the Heater Control (Manual A/C) and the Heater Control (Auto A/C)?

You know, the heater control is what your knobs and AC and Rear Defrost are attached to.

Does it deal with the type of tranny, or is there another type of AC toggle out there that I'm not aware of?

Reason I ask is because I went to a junk yard to get one, and the guy asked me, manual or auto, and I said manual, just because I have a 6 speed, but now I realize that he was refering to the type of heater control assembly.

Is it one in the same?

Different part numbers, same price...

I'm thinking that perhaps the wires in the wiring harness may be different due to the fact that manuals and autos have different ECU's? confused

I thought it was only GT and GTS that had different wiring harnesses? Manuals and autos have the same, I thought. idunno
